Martin has been making movies since he was a teenager in Sweden with a Hi8 video camera and friends willing to be splattered in ketchup. Studies in cinematography at the School of Visual Arts in New York, where he shot just about any student film that would allow him, lead to a start in commercials and music videos. After spending a decade working on campaigns for major brands all over the world and on music videos for artists such as The Rolling Stones, Beyonce, and Kanye West, he moved into longer form storytelling. His credits include the Netflix shows Altered Carbon, House of Cards and Daredevil, the HBO mini-series The Plot Against America, and the Sundance feature film The Sunlit Night. His most recent projects include a medieval horror film directed by Floria Sigismondi, an action comedy starring Christoph Waltz with director Simon West, and the upcoming Netflix show 3 Body Problem, from the creators of Game of Thrones.
